But I brought chocolates

More often than not, we see our point of view more clearly than opinions of others. And it becomes more prominent when you keep your mouth shut to keep peace in your relationship.

It is usually easy to say nothing when you see the toothpaste pressed from the center and bent out of shape. Or any of those small nitty gritties, which you feel are out of place, but you make peace and keep moving.

I remember once a friend telling me that with time, you start despising things about your spouse/partner which made you fall in love with him/her in the first place. I find this notion quite  ridiculous. This state of quiet desperation in a relationship brings discomfort in your and your loved one’s life. And moreover, you wont even know what is causing it all.

What makes your life worth living is looking in the eyes of your better half, knowing all the shortcomings but accepting them with all of your heart and when you see the toothpaste bent out of shape again, instead of bringing up an argument or keeping it in your heart of hearts, leave a rose or chocolate next to it as a token of your love for the perfection/imperfection your partner really is.
