One disaster after another

She was standing there. A smile on her face, head a little down wearing that pink t-shirt. Our eyes met for a little bit but then she looked away. I was sitting in one of the rooms in her home with her father on my left and her mother standing by her side.

It used to be uncommon in my country to meet the girl before marriage just a couple of generations back. Well, this is not that generation. We talked about going out for lunch to talk.

Sitting with someone who you want to impress can be very taxing on your common sense. Or memory to do small things. We had recently bought a new car and the stick shift required a new mechanism of moving around.

Embarrassing? You Bet.

In the front, I play it cool.

Her brother came out and helped me with it. Damn. Points for you Sale Sahib.

From here on I had everything planned. I knew this perfect place where I used to come with my friends when I was in college. It was such a happening place, I would love to take her there. It will be a perfect place with just the right mood. Everything will be perfect from here on.

Has it happened to anyone that the places you used to frequent in your hometown are crap when you come back to them some years later?

Double Damn!!

Well, she called her brother to ask for locations to go to. Sale Sahib to the rescue( again ).

Look at me, cool as ice. I can handle this.
